Turbine Overhaul

Reverse engineering, design, and precision CNC manufacture of dummy pins for the General Electric Frame 5 gas turbine, used during overhaul and maintenance to maintain critical alignment of turbine internals.
Each pin was dimensionally reverse-engineered from OEM reference specimens using precision metrology, with tolerances held to ±0.01 mm to guarantee fit and function equivalent to original GE tooling.
Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel bar stock, heat-treated to the appropriate hardness specification, and machined to a fine surface finish to ensure smooth installation and extraction.
Comprehensive quality inspection performed on every unit, including dimensional CMM verification, surface finish measurement, and hardness testing — with full traceability documentation provided.
Successfully deployed at GASCO facilities for scheduled turbine overhaul operations, replacing obsolete OEM tooling with locally manufactured alternatives at significantly reduced lead time and cost.
